THE PROCESS
At Après Jewelry, we offer customization on all our Engagement Rings. Head to our Build Your Dream Ring App to see all the center stones, settings, and details we offer.
Once you have submitted your form, we will email you back to confirm your settings and begin sourcing a center stone for you. We source all our center stones specifically for each customer and will send through various options to choose from. We provide hi res photos and videos of each stone, as well as the certification (if applicable).
Once a center stone is chosen and the setting details are confirmed, we require payment for the stone upfront to begin. We will send you a digital invoice you can pay via a secure portal with an ACH payment or credit card. If you are looking for financing- at this time, we only offer up to $10,000 in financing through Klarna. Any payments made through Klarna are subject to an additional 3.29% fee and you can select the duration of the loan at checkout (up to 36 months). For anything more than $10,000, check out Lending Tree to get matched with the right company for a personal loan. They offer financing between $1000- $100,000 and have different length and APR terms.
Once payment is received, we will begin setting your stone which typically takes around 4-6 weeks. If you need your ring faster, please let us know and we can try to accommodate your deadline. Once the ring is complete, we will email you hi res photos and videos of the final ring for you to approve. At that time, if there are any changes, we will fix it at no fee.
If the ring is approved, we will send you the invoice to pay the balance and then ship it out via Fed Ex Priority- fully insured for the ring’s total retail value.

Custom Jewelry Agreement
All custom jewelry + engagement rings are final sale, non-refundable. Payment for your stone is due up front before the setting process is started. Once a down payment is made for any stone, it is non-refundable.
We provide hi res photos and videos of every stone prior to purchase. Please reach out if you need additional imagery before you make your purchase. We are not liable for your stone if you decide you do not like it after purchase.
PURCHASING A CENTER STONE
White Diamonds
All our white diamonds are graded on a color, cut, and clarity scale. We will provide you with the most accurate information about each stone but please familiarize yourself with the grading scale so you understand what each grade means. Once a down payment is made, it is non-refundable.
Natural White Diamond
All our Natural White Diamonds are certified (typically GIA or EGL). You will receive the certificate for your stone upon the delivery of your ring. If you would like to see the certificates prior to purchase, please let us know and we can send over scanned copies of these.
Lab- Created White Diamond
All our Lab-Created White Diamonds are 100% real diamonds, not synthetic. Lab-Created Diamonds come with a GCAL certificate or IGI Certificate (which is not a GIA certificate).
All stone certificates will be mailed to you upon completion of the ring.
Rose Cut
Rose Cut Diamonds aren’t always certified, but we will note if they are or not when we send them to you to review. If you require GIA or EGL certification, please let us know prior so we can send you those options. Additionally, we can get a non-certified stone CERTIFIED for you. Please let us know and we will send you pricing for this as fees apply per carat per stone.
Salt and Pepper Diamond
Salt and Pepper Diamonds are NOT certified and cannot be certified. For any customers who are not local, we provide extensive photos and videos of each stone so you can get a sense of the coloring. If you need additional information or photos/videos of the stone prior to purchase, we are happy to provide this for you. Once a stone is purchased, it is non-refundable.
Moissanite
We source all our Moissanite stones from Charles and Colvard. We only offer Forever One™ Moissanite stones from Charles and Colvard which is the highest quality possible for this stone and considered DEF color.
Family Stone
We love working with family stones, but need to first ensure that the stone is suitable. We ask that you provide a few specific details like the quality and condition, shape, color and cut. Please send a photograph and as much information on the stone as possible, including carat size, millimeter dimensions and GIA certification if applicable.
All Other Stones
All other stones we offer- like Morganite, White Sapphire, etc.- are NOT certified and cannot be certified. For any customers who are not local, we provide extensive photos and videos of each stone so you can get a sense of the coloring. If you need additional information or photos/videos of the stone prior to purchase, we are happy to provide this for you. Once a stone is purchased, it is non-refundable.
Eternity Bands
All the stones on eternity bands are NOT certified and cannot be certified. Whether they are white diamonds or Moissanite, the stones are too small to certify one-by-one. We provide the color and clarity of the stones we use prior to the setting (typically G-H/VS2-SI1) so please let us know if you want them to be specific. If you need additional information or photos/videos of the stone prior to purchase, we are happy to provide this for you. Once an eternity band is purchased, it is non-refundable.
ETHICS + SUSTAINABILITY
Kimberly Process
We are in compliance with the Kimberly Process and guarantee all diamonds purchased from us to be conflict free.
All our gold is made with recycled metal. Once a month we refine all our leftover metal and make it 24K so we can reuse it.
SETTING
We offer 14+ Engagement Ring styles on our site which are listed here. These settings all have set pricing so if you choose one, that is what the price will be for the setting.
We offer customization on any of these settings (special prongs, hammered metal, engraving, etc.) but additional fees may apply. We will discuss the pricing with you prior to payment so you are clear on what the final pricing is for your ring.
Setting the stone usually takes 4 weeks, but can take up to 4-6 weeks depending on the complexity of the design.
Once the ring is done, you can approve it before it ships. Any changes here will be at no additional fee. If you receive your ring and want something changed- no problem, but there is an $90 fee for shipping (and additional fees may apply depending on the changes).
APPRAISAL
We offer appraisal paperwork on your ring for $60 through Gemological Laboratory Services. If you plan on getting your ring insured, you need an appraisal. Please let us know PRIOR to shipping as this takes about 1-3 days to complete and we need the physical ring to do this.
Please note: Only GIA or EGL certified White Diamonds can be appraised for a higher value than the invoice (and this is dependent on the appraiser). All other stones/rings will be appraised for the retail value of each piece for insurance purposes.
INSURANCE
We urge you to insure your jewelry as soon as possible against theft and total or partial loss or damage, as you would any other major purchase.
We offer insurance for US and Canadian residents through Jeweler’s Mutual here on our site. Just click the GET MY QUOTE button and it will take you to their site and prompt you to enter in the value of your purchase, and will provide you with the total cost of insurance.
FINANCING
If you are looking for financing- at this time, we only offer up to $10,000 in financing through Klarna. SHIPPING
We ship all our jewelry via FED EX via Malca Amit which is secured jewelry delivery service. Domestic shipping for an engagement ring is $90. International shipping fees vary (but are usually around $160). This fee will be added to your invoice. (*Please note that the "Free Ground Shipping for Orders Over $500" only applies to in-stock items on the site).
Your ring will be valued at what you paid for it and insured for this full value. Please note: if you are an international customer, duties and fees will be applied by customs which is out of our control.
RING RESIZE
If you need to get your ring re-sized, there is an $150 fee for this. We will invoice you prior to sending the shipping label. We offer free ring sizers on our site though so purchase one before the ring is made if you can!
REPAIRS + OUR WARRANTY
At Aprés Jewelry, we stand behind our craftsmanship. We value your business and wish to give you some additional peace of mind with your purchases.
In keeping with our philosophy, we will provide any purchase of jewelry sold by Aprés Jewelry a six month warranty, effective from the date of purchase. All repairs are free in this six month period, we just charge $90 for shipping. If your jewelry is damaged outside of this period, you may benefit from our warranty but additional fees and costs will apply, as set forth in this agreement.
Our warranty will entitle all customers who purchase jewelry from Aprés Jewelry to complementary repair work for any damages on your purchased items, so long as the damage did not result from unusual or extreme wear or use, and in accordance with this agreement. Aprés Jewelry shall have the sole discretion to determine the extent of the damage on the jewelry and may impose additional fees, as appropriate. Please note that our warranty does not cover loss or theft of jewelry, in part or in its entirety, and does not entitle customers to any replacements of center stones, regardless of how the center stones were lost, misplaced, or damaged. This warranty also does not cover jewelry that has been re-sized or altered in any way by a third party without the express, written authorization of Aprés Jewelry. Please note that no other warranties, written or oral, will be provided with your purchase.
To initiate the request, you may submit a written request by emailing us at orders@apresjewelry.com. Upon receipt of your request, we will send you a shipping label. Please note that we are not responsible for any expenses, damage, or loss incurred while the jewelry is not in our possession. Aprés Jewelry is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. You will be asked to provide proof of purchase and damage, as well as any additional documentation, as appropriate.
Upon submission of the repair request, all orders will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Aprés Jewelry shall make a preliminary decision to repair the goods and/or on any aspects of the repair process at its sole discretion. Depending on the scope of the repairs, additional charges may apply as you get further along the repair process.
JM CARE PLAN WARRANTY
JM Care Plan™ is an additional warranty plan to protect your jewelry from normal wear and keep each piece looking like the day you got it.
If your piece is damaged from normal wear, your care plan covers repair, and if it can’t be fixed, it will be replaced.
This warranty plan covers ring resizing, repolishing, rhodium plating for white gold pieces, loss of center stone or side stones, broken prongs, and much more. Check out more about the plan here.
Pricing for the JM Care Plan™ depends on the price of your item, but it's all listed here.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Buy JM Care Plan™ from us at the time you purchase your jewelry.
2. Wear your piece with confidence. JM Care Plan™ covers damage from normal wear.
3. If something happens to your jewelry, contact us to get started on the claim. You must have the receipt and JM Care Plan™ terms and conditions as proof of coverage.
CLEANING + CARE
Fine jewelry is delicate by nature and should be cared for accordingly. To extend the life of your jewelry, please follow these care instructions.
• Take off your jewelry before your daily rituals such as: showering, lotion, perfume, etc.
• Leave your jewelry at home before engaging in strenuous activities such as working out.
• Do not wear your jewelry to the beach or the pool to avoid exposure to harsh chemicals.
• Exposure to makeup, oil and dyes can diminish the sparkle of your jewelry.
• Before bedtime, lay your jewelry out flat.
• For necklaces, please clasp the necklace when removing it to assure the chain does not tangle or knot.
• To clean your diamond jewelry, use a soft toothbrush with dish soap and gently scrub the 14k gold and diamonds.
